CAL PAU CRUSET HAS TAKEN IN 50 REFUGEES FROM THE WAR IN UKRAINE
The decision was made instantly after speaking to Coopera and hearing about the necessity for housing for refugees they had. The buses to pick of these mothers and children at the borders were ready to go but there were not enough available beds in Catalunya. Mothers and their kids were waiting for days in the rain and snow at the borders after some of them had walked for days to get there safely. Once we said yes, within a few days on March 6th, 50 mothers and children who fled the war in Ukraine arrived in our Masia.
From Cal Pau Cruset and Coopera ONG want to convey our sincere thanks for all the solidarity received in recent days from local and international communities, the clients of our casa rural, friends, family and strangers for the more than fifty women and children refugees from Ukraine who are staying with us until March 23.
The quick and positive response to our request for support demonstrates the hard work of everyone, in just a few hours hundreds of people have contacted us to donate material, food, volunteering, as translators, companies that have offered their help without hesitation, etc..
We also want to sincerely thank the City Council of Torrelles de Foix for the support and help they are giving us and their predisposition to solve any need that we might have.
We want to extend our deep gratitude to all those people who responded positively to our call, as well as to all the companies that are helping us with donations.

We are confronted with the fact that our domain name www.calpaucruset.com is blacklisted as someone has gotten into our account and has send lots of spam from our account. Now our mails are going to the spam boxes of the receivers which is a big hassle as we are super busy at the moment using mail to coordinate all kind of things for the ukranian refugees.
